Renovations - Shortlisted Nominee

The renovation project involved transforming an abandoned ancestral house into a leisure villa, focusing on revitalizing the interior and adding necessary other facilities to function it as a villa. The villa now boasts four bedrooms, with attached bathrooms, providing a comfortable and private space for guests. Large living room, TV room serves as a central gathering area, while a shared dining and common bathroom cater to needs of guests. One of the highlights of the renovation is the introduction of a show kitchen, equipped with modern appliances and designed to facilitate culinary experiences. Also a dedicated storage space and linen room were incorporated into the design. The exterior of villa underwent significant enhancements as well. Newly added multifunctional space offers a cozy space for entertainment and relaxation, featuring a pool and relevant facilities, providing guests with a refreshing retreat. Throughout the renovation process, sustainable practices were prioritized. Minimal structural interventions were made, reducing the need for extensive demolition. The thick limestone walls of existing building were carefully reinforced, preserving traditional value and eliminating the need for additional structural support. To further minimize waste, stones for ledges, steps, were sourced and reused from the site itself. Additionally, furniture, door-windows, frames were refurbished and repurposed, adding a touch of character and sustainability to the villa. Overall, this renovation project successfully transformed a house into a leisure villa, combining modern amenities with sustainable practices. Revitalized interior offers a comfortable, functional living space, while the exterior provides a serene environment for relaxation and recreation.
