Our client himself is a Creative Art Director attached to a leading Advertising Agency. He possesses an aesthetic mind of high degree. Therefore, it was very easy for us to plan out his dream house, to his satisfaction. Rate trees such as Goraka, Godapara, karanda and Mahogany can be found, within the site. These matured trees beautify the garden. Our client's strict request was to build his house in an environment - friendly manner without uprooting a single tree. When I first visited the site, the Goraka tree, with lush green foliage caught my attention. At once, it crossed my mind that the house should be built with the "Goraka" tree in the centre, and the courtyard laid out around it. Thus, I visualized the heart of the house, in my imagination.

As a student, I trained under Srilankan Modernist Architects Archt.C.Anjalendran, Archt Vijitha Basnayake, and Archt Palinda Kannangara. I received my charter in 2009 I established Independent practice in 2010 The Studio is now located in Kurunegala and Nugegoda The firm has worked on a varied range of projects across the island of Sri Lanka, projects which are often small in scale, the firm with its personalized approach, imbues each project with a sense of connectedness to the context, region, climate, and landscape using locally available materials and technology to provide a rich spatial experience.
