Kozy's Canvas

Project is a private residence for a young couple who are in the field of design and both love to live amidst nature. The site sat at the edge of the lake, an empty canvas with a range of endemic flora and fauna. The Architect uses architecture to frame nature in a variety of angles, thus creating unique spaces. Framed views of the nature, different levels, collection of different architectural elements and materials weave together making a perfect canvas for the users to paint the story of their life. This private residence consists of Car park for two vehicles, Entrance veranda, Visitors bedroom + bathroom, Living area, Pantry, Bar, Outdoor dining area, Kitchen, Utility room, Maid’s room, Swimming Pool, Master bedroom + walk-in closet + bathroom, Bedroom 02 + bathroom, TV lounge, Dorm room and a Studio Office. The clients enjoy their time in nature and incorporating it in to the spaces was a main objective. The Architect uses cantilevered spaces and the transparent materials to blur the distinct line between the interior and the outdoors of the spaces, bringing the nature indoors. Interiors are simple and created to frame and capture the vistas of the beautiful surrounding. The wide openings make the nature blend in to the inside. The honest usage of materials without covering them, signify simplicity and gives the entire design a light weight feels. The transparency and the natural blend of the design symbolizes the client’s simple lifestyle.
