The Grand Gastro Bar is a 5948 sqft coffee shop and restaurant located in Kurana, Negombo. The construction of this establishment, which cost LKR 45 million, was completed between March 2019 and January 2020. The client's vision was to create a sophisticated coffee lounge with various sections, including a main dining area, café seating, fine dining section, outdoor garden, upstairs lounge, private spaces for celebrations, and workstations. Supporting facilities such as a kitchen, food display area, cashier, storage, restrooms, and staff areas were also included. The design concept focused on creating a peaceful oasis that enhances the overall well-being of the patrons. Thoughtful choices such as warm lighting and natural finishes were made to promote relaxation. Cozy seating in secluded nooks provided an escape from the stresses of urban life. The tranquil environment transports busy minds into relaxation, allowing guests to fully savor exceptional flavors. It satisfies both the palate and the weary soul. Adjacent lounges were designed to offer different atmospheres to cater to varying preferences. The shaded garden area provided an option for open-air dining, while the upstairs area was equipped with workstations. The layout of the establishment guided customers through a progression of spaces, encouraging exploration and discovery. In just 3 years, the Gastro Bar has built a loyal customer base and become a popular destination. Its visionary design serves as an urban sanctuary that caters to modern lifestyles. The owner successfully created a bustling business while also providing a peaceful refuge through architecture.
