The service centre on Vauxhall Street, Colombo 02, is designed to enhance customer comfort during extended visits. Housed in repurposed industrial buildings once used for tea production, the facility retains its original industrial charm while maximizing space for vehicular movement and supporting functions. The design incorporates dark grey tones with bursts of colour and bold forms for an engaging experience. A ribbon-like element visually separates zones: cool blue identifies vehicular service areas, while warm orange defines customer spaces. This creates a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring lounge areas feel inviting and comfortable. Customer interfaces and administrative spaces feature a warm material palette with smooth, curvilinear elements to enhance the waiting experience. Customers can view the service area, designed as a dynamic, efficient space celebrating the complexity of its equipment and services. Bold primary colours, sleek lighting, and playful design elements transform the service area into a lively, uplifting environment that promotes productivity and wellbeing, stepping away from traditional industrial aesthetics.
